Here is where another Scriptural principle enters the picture.
The apostle Paul warned Christians: It is believed that friendship with non believers can lead to apostasy. In other words if a Jehovah’s Witness associates with non believers their faith may be compromised. They may start to question what the Watchtower teaches. They may be tempted to do things they believe are wrong. This may weaken their faith. That’s one reason why they choose close friends within the organization instead of people who go to other churches.
Jehovah’s Witnesses dating?…?
No birthdays, Christmas, or any other holidays All the other kids are doing fun Thanksgiving drawings of Turkeys by tracing their hands. That looks like so much fun! None—not even my birthday. God says birthdays are bad. Having to go door-to-door preaching every Saturday and sometimes Sunday as well I barely got any sleep when I was a Witness. I commuted an hour and a half to work each way and worked long hours.
Jehovah’s Witness goes beyond the usual religion and is widely regarded as a cult. If she stays in, you will have to convert or the relationship won’t work long-term.
A friend of mine recently wrote this thoughtful update on his life 1 and where he is at now that ten years has passed since he moved away and faded from the Witnesses. His mentally unstable JW ex-wife tried to get him DFed and sent out the elders to pursue him but they were unsuccessful. I know this man personally and can say he is a friendly, caring, generous person.
So anyway, here is how he is getting along in his own words: I reached that point at age 44 over 10 years ago after having been born and raised in the JW cult for 44 years. It had nothing to do with being kind, good as a person, or helping brother or sister older ones giving food, care in their homes, or rides to the store. So think about it: How else can you explain men being appointed as elders who continue as such for years as they perform WT functions well at the kingdom hall, yet they may have beat their wives, children, molested children, or otherwise have been really scumbags in their personalities- yet got away with it for years?
There IS no such thing [in the WT organization].

Jehovah’s Witnesses employ various levels of congregational discipline as formal controls administered by congregation elders. Members who engage in conduct that is considered inappropriate may be counseled privately by elders and congregational responsibilities may be withheld or restricted.
It was around that time that a Bible study group based in Pennsylvania began analyzing, comparing, and dissecting Biblical scripture only to arrive at conclusions not taught by the majority of mainstream Christian religions. This group used zealous proselytizing to spread their scriptural discoveries. They also used their hope for the future that they gathered from the Bible to spread their beliefs across the US.
Eventually, they spread their message into many different countries. Though they are currently based in hundreds of lands around the globe, the general populace knows relatively little about this far-flung faith. They have faced resentment and ostracism from political parties around the world. Countries such as Armenia , Turkey , and Eritrea in recent times have convicted, fined, imprisoned, and even tortured members for their conscientious objection.

10 Things You Never Knew About Jehovah’s Witnesses
In a ruling made following an appeal by the Finnish arm of the religious group, the Court of Justice of the European Union said that they must gain consent from householders before collecting their data. It comes after the Church of England told members not to distribute people’s personal data in written prayer requests following the introduction of GDPR, the EU’s new data privacy law, earlier this year.
The judgment said that the group keeps a list of people who have asked not to be contacted, known as a “refusal register”, as well as “the name and addresses of persons contacted, together with information concerning their religious beliefs and their family circumstances”. The information is “collected as a memory aid and in order to be retrieved for any subsequent visit without the knowledge or consent of the persons concerned”. However, the court ruled that door-to-door proselytising is “directed outwards from the private setting of the members who engage in preaching” and therefore is not exempt.
It added that even though the information is not held centrally in a conventional “filing system”, such as a set of databases, it is still covered by the law.
Lopez was a boy when a church leader molested him. The ruling by the state Fourth District Court of Appeal hits the reset button on the case, potentially leading to another trial but with one major caveat — that documents concerning past sexual abuse cases in the church should be turned over. But the elders knew Campos had molested a boy as early as , according to evidence revealed in the case, and did nothing about it, continuing to put children at risk, the lawsuit claims. The boy told his mother, who reported it immediately to the church leadership.
She and her son left the church. Evidence presented in the trial showed the church monitored Campos for nine months, and in the following years he rose through the ranks in the church, continuing to teach children. He moved to a Spanish-language Kingdom Hall in La Jolla at one point but was kicked out in after another victim reported being abused. He was reinstated in the church in The appeals court gave a mixed-bag opinion Thursday. The court also took issue with how quickly Lewis terminated Watchtower from the court proceedings, saying she should have first tried less-punitive sanctions to see if the church would comply with her orders.
The case will now go back to Lewis to give Watchtower another chance to turn over the requested abuse documents.
